That's $857, and that's before taxes and "surcharges" (just a way to pad your bill). It came out to about $957. Yuck.
But at least I'm flying Virgin, which means British people are in charge of me, which makes me feel good. The American temperament is too explosive and unstable -- far better to fly with people who prize common sense above all.

I've been hearing about it but since I have no intention of or desire to fly anywhere, I haven't really tuned into it. 900-plus bucks! It's demented. And at the end of it, you're in England! (kidding)
Hope you're well and that you have enough work.

So nice to hear from you, pistolgal!
I am getting by -- just. I was going to add a post explaining how I paid for my ticket (my father paid for most of it) because lately, it's hard to even pay my rent.
I've thought of you often, I also hope you are well and the work thing, yes, for you too.

I've been paying my rent close to the END of each month, along with a late fee. No choice. I've been so overloaded on stress because of it all that I've finally moved into a state of serene not-giving-a-fuckism. It feels good. I think about you often too and visit your blog but for a while I ran into some kind of computer block to posting on it when they changed the process for doing so. I never really figured it out. So I just tried one last time the other day and got through! Grendel and I are sticking by the air-conditioner these coupla days so nothing much is going on here except for reading and dog-petting.
