Summer Is Over

We all needed jackets and socks today. My mother said it got down to 45 degrees in Vermont. Up there, she thinks it won't be warm again.

Freaky deaky. Floods in the midwest. Hurricanes in Mexico. A cold summer in the northeast.

Does anyone else think there might be something up with the weather?

Summer's not over where I live. The temperature right now is 101 degrees outside, and we are 14" under our normal rainfall for the year. My poor dying lawn.

Wow. 101. I don't think we got over 100 this year but usually there are at least 3 or 4 brutal days like that.

Hope you have healthy a.c. Oh and vacuous, your mountain hike photos were incredible.

La Misma, you forget that we endured at least two fairly brutal heat waves this summer. 90 plus with heat indexes above 100...

And I am willing to put money on about one more heatwave before autumn really takes hold.
